Before You Leave
Travel Documents
All passengers (including children and infants) need a passport for international travel, regardless of the destination, valid for the duration of your trip. Always check that your passport is valid. Most countries require at least 6 months validity from the date of travel for entry.
Some countries may also require a visa for entry. It is your responsibility to obtain a visa before you travel if required and ensure you have all necessary passports (with required validity period) and any other travel documents required when you check in. If you require any assistance with visas, please contact us immediately.
Please review your airtickets, hotel vouchers, tour vouchers and any other travel documents prior to departure. If there are any discrepancies with your confirmed booking, please contact us immediately. If you wish to make voluntary changes or cancellations to your booking, please contact us as well. Fees may apply.
For passengers who are traveling or transiting through United States of America, you are required to apply for Electronic Travel Authorisation. Please visit the website for further details.

Travel Advisories
It is useful to visit Smartraveller
: The Australian Government's travel advisory website for any travel advisory notices on the destination you are travelling to. Also, it is useful to register your details with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade before travel. The registration information provided by you will help the government to find you in an emergency - whether it is a natural disaster, civil disturbance or a family emergency. Other useful travel tips can also be found on the website.

You may also want to leave your travel itinerary and contact details with your family and friends in case of any emergencies.
Flights
Reconfirmation of flights for most airlines departing from Australia are no longer necessary. If there are any schedule changes that we are aware of prior to departure, we will notify you by email or phone. It is important to advise us of your contact details whilst away (hotel details or mobile phone) so we can notify you of any known schedule changes in advance.
You can also contact the airline directly in Australia or in the country you are visiting to reconfirm any flights, check flight schedules and any other special requests.
For Vietnam Airlines flights, please reconfirm flights when you are traveling from Vietnam.
Check in procedures
It is important to arrive at the airport with sufficient time to check in for your flight. If you don’t check in time, you may lose your fare and not be able to travel unless you purchase another fare. For all international flights, check in time is at least 120 minutes before departure. Please ensure you have the correct travel documents ready at the desk.
Certain airlines offer online check in on the internet. Currently this includes Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Qantas (domestic only), Virgin Blue (domestic only). You will need your eticket and passport information ready at hand. Also access to a printer so you can print your boarding pass. You can do this from 48 hours – 24 hours before departure, depending on airline. Visit their website for more information.
Health Information
Always seek professional advice from your doctor. Even for very fit and healthy people, medical travel insurance is highly recommended. Take a basic first aid kit and also a supply of your regular medication if required. However, if you are taking prescription medicine you should carry a copy of your doctor's prescription and keep all medication in your carry on baggage. Be careful of drinking water and general food safety as traveller's diarrhoea is very common. Detailed information on vaccinations and health warnings can be found on World Health Organisation website.

Most airlines will have a maximum limit of 20kg for checked luggage and 7kg for cabin luggage. Best to keep to these limits otherwise you may incur hefty charges for excess luggage. There are also regulations related to dangerous goods, liquids, aerosols and gels in your cabin luggage. Any items that are not allowed onboard will be confiscated.
